Megan Ronquillo is an artist who works well across multiple types of mediums, but she primarily sticks to drawing, painting, and printmaking. Her attention to composition, detail, and expression allow her to create vibrant energetic works of art that show off her sense of humor, personal thoughts, and her feelings about life and the people around her.

She is based in Durango, Colorado and attends Fort Lewis College in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art as well as a Museum Management Certificate. She has shown her work in the 62nd and 63rd Annual Juried Student Exhibitions and been published by several local art magazines. In the fall of 2024, she was awarded grant money through Fort Lewis’ Just-In-Time Supply Grant program for her senior capstone project and has earned financial aid through the David Olseth Art Scholarship for multiple years as well.

Aside from classes, she worked as a member of the design team and was design lead for IMAGES Magazine and interned over the summer for the Durango Arts Center. Both of these jobs involved working creatively and collaboratively and have given her essential experience as a budding professional artist and designer. She has finally finished creating work for her senior capstone project, and looks forward to showing it off this April in the Fort Lewis College Art Gallery.
